Update on the working girl...

Well I am still alive, and working...

It's not the greatest of jobs but I actually don't mind it. They seem to be having a problem getting people to stick around. I heard the one boss talking the other day saying he has trained 80 people and only has 6 good counters... I looked around the room and there were 6 of us there... I am hoping he was referring to us. lol They started an afternoon shift to ease up some of the load and he trained 4 the first night of that shift. Training takes 2 hours then it is break time, well 2 of the guys went outside for break and never returned for the rest of their shift ( or since) . I feel so sorry for the researchers (bosses) all this seed has to be counted and packed to be shipped and in the case of the research station I am working at they want to start planting ASAP.

For the most part I am a seed counter... yep I get to sort through corn, pick out the bad kernels then put it in a little machine and watch it go round and round and fall out into a little cup which I dump into seed packets.

They have also put me out back in another room to sort the packets to be shipped to other places and today I got to check, double check, triple check packets and then run string through them to hang them on the planter for our location. Then I got to play with the computer and scan the bar codes for one last check.

I actually don't mind the work, but I have come to the conclusion that it must have something to do with age and willingness to work. It seems the ones that are actually sticking with it and give a shit about the quality of seeds being packed that are still there.

I miss being at the school with the kids but I am also enjoying going to work and picking up that paycheck isn't bad either hehehehe

Peanut does NOT like riding the school bus... funny she always wanted to ride the bus but now that she does, she doesn't like it... Go figure!

My parents returned home from their winter in Florida this past weekend and it is so nice to have them around again. Peanut has already spent the night lol

Other news... I'm getting a new shitter!!! Isn't that exciting... Aren't you glad I told you??? lol
Mom and Dad had a new one put in last summer but Mom finds it too low to the ground and since she had her knee surgery its hard for her, so they have ordered a taller one and they are giving me the short one.

I know, what a Sad life I lead when I get excited over something like a toilet. lol

But I must be off, its time for bed - The alarm goes off far to early in the morning to stay up any later lol

And besides tommorrow is payday - sorta kinda - We get our checks tommorrow but can't actually cash them until Friday.

Until Next Time
Stay Safe
